Abosolute Annihilation

Absolute Annihilation East Coast Combat Club presents "Absolute Annhilation" Mixed Martial Arts Fighting in the Cage. MMA Fighting will return to the Prince William County Fairgrounds on December 18th 2010. 20 exciting bouts of up and coming Fighters from the East Coast will meet and test their will. Three new champions will be crowned on the great night of Live Action!!! There will also be honors for Fight of the Night, Knockout of the Night, and Submission of the Night.

The card for this first event looks to be pretty stacked with 23 fights on the card (*subject to change) and fighters all over including Jessie Mitchell Jr fighting Nate Grebb for the 155 title. Will this add to Jessie's strap count? Teams from all over the region will be there including Fight Craftsman Gym, Fight Junkies, Team Assassin, Spinal Tap MMA, The Cave and Yamasaki Academy to name a few.

Rafal Moks has earned his 2010 M-1 Selections Western Europe championship title with relentless pursuit of a quest which started back in February of this year. With impressive performances throughout, the Berserkers team member needed just 4:19 to secure a fight-ending rear-naked choke over Serghei Popa in the quarter-finals and 4:56 to dispose of Danijel Dzebic thanks to a suffocating guillotine choke; both fights showcasing his ever improving ground game.

Operation Octagon 13

Operation Octagon took over the Dulles Sportplex again this past weekend. This time it was for a day of fights. The day started at 3pm with some great Muay Thai fights and ended around 5:30pm. That allowed time for people to grab a cold beverage and head on over to the MMA side to watch a night of packed with 16 fights including 6 Title Fights and an action packed female fight.

Terry and Christina Linton returned to the Winchester Sportsplex October 9th, 2010 with OSF: Urgent Fury. Throughthecage.com correspondents John Porter and Mike Burns were cageside capturing the action.

Day of Combat

Operation Octagon has just announced it's 13th mixed martial arts show "Day of Combat." The official date has been set for October 30, 2010 at the Dulles Sportsplex in Sterling, Virginia. The event will showcase some of the best up-and-coming fighters from the DC metro area and beyond. Operation Octagon-XIII will feature some amazing Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) matchups as well as some very tough Muay Thai battles. The Day of Combat will hold two events in one.
