SugarHan productions returned last night with amateur fight night. The event which was promoted by former professional boxer Han Kim who is a staple in the local boxing community. Originally Han was to put on a professional card, which was ultimately canceled due to the injury of a main card fighter. For an event which was put together in two weeks, the fights were awesome. Typically amateur events are a hit or miss with a mix of good fights, and glorified sparring sessions. The event featured Harrison Bernstein, former Assistant Strength/Conditioning Coach for the Washington Redskins. Bernstein who has trained professional MMA fighters in the Renzo Gracie/Gracie Barra camp such as Ricardo Almeida made his amateur boxing debut, and won by decision. The night was short was short and sweet, with the fights starting at about 7 and ending around 9. Look for more professional and amateur Sugarhan events in the future. Thanks to Chris Payatagool for putting together a great card, and keeping Through The Cage up-to-date on SugarHan Production events. The pictures are posted, just click the link
